Terms of Service

Short version: Gelominos is free to play. Optional one-time cosmetic purchases go through Google Play. We provide the game as is, and these terms are governed by Nevada law.

These terms are an agreement between you and Gelominos (“we”, “us”) about the Gelominos game and the website gelominos.com. By installing or using the game you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use it. You must be at least 13 years old (or the age Google requires for a Google account where you live) and, if you are under the age of majority, have a parent or guardian’s permission to make purchases.

1. License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Gelominos on your own devices for non-commercial entertainment, under these terms and Google Play’s terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, extract assets from, resell, rent or distribute the game, or use it to build a competing product, except where the law lets you regardless of this clause.

2. Ownership and intellectual property

The game, its code, artwork, animation, level designs, text, names and logos (together, “Content”) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Some sounds are public-domain (CC0) or openly licensed material used under their own terms, and the game uses open-source software; credits are on the Licenses page. These terms give you no ownership of any Content. Gelominos is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google, King, or any other game publisher.

3. Purchases

The game is free to play. Optional, one-time, cosmetic items (five skin bundles, an all-skins pack and a block-theme pack, seven products in all) are sold through Google Play Billing. Prices are shown by Google Play in your currency before you buy. Purchases are made with Google, not us, and are subject to Google Play’s terms. Items are permanent for your Google account (restore them from the Shop on a new device), but they are a license to use, not property. Nothing you buy gives you a random item, extra stars, skipped levels or an easier game. Every item can also be unlocked for free by playing. We may change prices or products in the future; that does not affect what you already own.

4. Refunds

Google Play processes payments and refunds. Under Google’s published policy, Google handles refund requests made within 48 hours of purchase; after that, contact us at hello@gelominos.com and we will consider your request under Google Play’s refund policies and applicable law. If a refund is issued, you lose access to that item. If you live in the European Economic Area or the UK, Google’s policy states that buying digital content means it is available to you immediately and that you waive the automatic statutory right of withdrawal, unless the content is defective, unavailable, or does not perform as stated. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or other right you have by law. See Google Play refund policies.

5. Google Play Games and leaderboards

Leaderboards are optional and provided with Google Play Games Services. Your name, avatar and scores on leaderboards are governed by your Play Games profile settings and Google’s terms and privacy policy, not by us. We may remove or reset leaderboard entries, or stop using Play Games, if we suspect cheating or tampering, or for technical reasons. Don’t cheat, tamper with the game or its saved data, or use cheats, bots or modified versions to get scores or items.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use the game or website unlawfully, interfere with them or with Google’s services, or attempt to bypass purchase checks.

7. Changes and availability

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue the game or any feature (including leaderboards) at any time, and we will try to give reasonable notice for significant changes. The game works offline, but purchases, restore and leaderboards need an internet connection and Google services.

8. No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, the game and website are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t promise the game will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your saved progress will never be lost (for example if you clear storage, uninstall, or lose the device).

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the game or website. Our total liability for any claim relating to the game is limited to the amount you paid for the item the claim concerns in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, USD 50). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t be excluded by law, or any statutory consumer rights you have where you live.

10. Termination

You can stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your license if you materially break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, warranty and liability, governing law) do.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers who live in a country with mandatory consumer-protection rules keep the benefit of those rules and may bring claims in their home courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “Effective” date shows the latest version. If a change is material we will say so on this page or in the game’s release notes. Continuing to use the game after a change means you accept it.
